PCOS- laser related treatments
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a condition which affects the hormone levels within women.
Women with PCOS produce higher-than-usual levels of the male hormone androgen. Although androgen is naturally produced within women, high levels of male hormones can cause excessive hair growth (hirsutism) - usually on the face, chest, areola area, lower abdomen, back, buttocks and thighs.
How do I prepare for laser hair removal in AnjaGosha Cardiff Bay?
First of all: stop plucking and waxing. (Once you decide to go with laser hair removal, it's important to stop any other hair removal method that takes out hair at the root).
Simply shave 24-48 hours before treatment.
Refrain from tanning.
How long is typical treatment?
Full face with neck will take about 15min.
When I will see results?
Immediate results are visible from the 1st treatment and clinically proven long-lasting results 6-8 months * before touch-up and maintenance treatments.
Point to remember.
Hair follicles go through various phases of growth, and laser treatments are most effective at preventing future hair regrowth when applied while the hair follicles are going through a growth phase.
Because follicles are in different stages, four to six laser hair removal treatments are recommended, spaced out about six weeks apart. This allows the laser treatments to target as many hair follicles as possible—which means a permanent reduction in hair growth.
